Natura Horses · Horse riding

Horseback rides and beginner lessons for children and adults, with or without riding experience, at Quinta da Samoqueirinha, between Vila Nova de Milfontes and São Luís.

The project belongs to Joana Junkermann, who has worked with horses since the age of three, trained at riding centres in Portugal and Germany and specialises in psychomotor rehabilitation, with more than 20 years of experience with horses.

Natura Horses has seven horses — six mares and one stallion — all coming from less dignified situations, each with its own personality. The work follows the Natural Horsemanship philosophy: clear and gentle communication with the horse, based on observing its natural behaviour.

Quinta da Samoqueirinha is a 22-hectare rural tourism property inside the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park.
